The Residences
Location: Essendon VIC
This four-townhouse development was delivered on a steeply sloping site, requiring a considered approach to both design and construction methodology.
The layout was carefully resolved to work with the natural fall of the land, stepping the dwellings to minimise excessive excavation while maintaining practical access and structural efficiency.
The design incorporates split-level outcomes to take advantage of the site conditions, allowing for functional internal layouts without compromising ceiling heights or liveability. Retaining elements, drainage and footing systems were all coordinated early to ensure the build remained efficient and structurally sound throughout construction.
Each townhouse was constructed with a consistent level of finish and attention to detail, resulting in a cohesive development that responds directly to the constraints of the site. The project demonstrates how more complex blocks can be effectively developed into well-planned, high-quality multi-dwelling outcomes.
